It was a Sunday morning, in the heart of Alfama — Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood, with its cobbled lanes and azulejo-tiled facades — that we discovered these mould-pressed glass cylinders on a flea market stall. Their double pattern immediately caught our eye: fine vertical ribbing at the top, diamond points at the bottom — two distinct registers on a single piece of glass.
Back in our Lisbon workshop, we mounted each cylinder onto a round Estremoz marble base — that Portuguese white marble with subtle veining, quarried since Antiquity in the Alentejo region. And so Alice was born, compact and luminous, the most discreet and poetic piece in our collection.
Good to know: our glass shades are either sourced or faithfully re-edited. For sourced pieces, slight imperfections or marks may sometimes be visible — small chips or minor irregularities. These are part of the history and authenticity of each piece, and are of course mentioned in the description.
Alice sits on a desk, bedside table or shelf. Its compact format (12 cm total height) allows it to fit into even the smallest spaces. Its textured glass cylinder diffuses a warm and enveloping light, perfect for elegant accent lighting. Compatible with E27 filament or warm LED bulbs (2200K–2700K).

This vintage table lamp pairs a mould-pressed glass cylinder with a vintage pattern — fine vertical fluting and diamond-point motifs with a black marble base (black marble). Each piece is unique, handmade in Lisbon.
Wipe the glass globe with a slightly damp cloth. For the marble base, use a dry cloth only — avoid acidic or abrasive products that could damage the stone’s natural finish.
